  • and a long forgotten lonely cairn of stones....reflection of you you and me...rest soundly Stan, we hold you in the hand of our hearts. Our son.

  • this is our Canada

  • @jaysidell wide because Canada is really wide.

  • @atomotma I thought it was wide and savage ?

  • This song is in my mind many times when I must take a long walk in a wide open area on an extremely cold and windy day and I ask myself: they were in cozy England and they desperately tried to find a route through the Arctic. WHY, WHY, WHY ???? They had to know that they could freeze to death.

  • Two words: Due South.

  • A fine dedication. God speed him on his voyage beyond...

  • My very favorite Stan Rogers song!

  • I always thought the line was : through a land so WHITE and savage." That's how I hear it and it avoids the redundancy of both"wild" and "savage".

  • @PharaohAhkenaten

You are wise. Still get shivers listening to this.
