Did well there.... As others said very lucky the bike didnt catch fire... Lucky too was a group ride and not solo...
-
damn thats crazy

slow in fast out is more fun

haha it took a while to realize he went off eh?, good thing the bike didnt go boom, and actually you are not susposed to move people after an accident like that due to the fact if they have a back on neck injury, it can worsen it.

@seppes Ya think he should buy a lotto ticket?
-
Oh shit! Thats gotta freak people out when that happens.

When in doubt, lean it out

As others have said you did well there. The current taught 1st aid is .Hazards first, Alertness (do they respond to you AVPU Alert, Voice, Pain, Unresponsive), Catastrophic bleeds (this didnt used to be here it was always further down the list) after airways), Airways. You did well talking to him as well. That foliage looked dry if the bike had gone up youd both have been in trouble. If this had been more serious the way you acted could well have been life saving. Thankfully it wasnt :)

That was good that you got it on video! Now he can learn from the mistake easier since he can see exactly how his crash happened. You did a good job of coming to his rescue... the first thing they tell you in the first aid class is to make sure the scene of the accident is safe, so I think you were right to worry about the bike first.

Why the hell are you so worried about the bike?

What you can't hear is him talking to me. First thing to do in a situation like this is to make sure there isn't any other danger. The HOT bike was leaking oil and gas in dry brush. After his saying he was ok, I did my best to stand the bike up to try to stop the leak or move it further down the hill, preventing an explosive fire near us... especially since the bike was blocking our best route back up the hill.
