How its done when the supervisor wants to be cheap a**hole and not haul in real logging equipment...

actually we were building a new site in an existing cutblock and there were a few standing spruce that needed to come down, Alberta forestry requires that if there is half a load or more of merchantable wood onsite that it be salvaged

  • Isnt it easier to do it this way in regards to getting the stump out? Not as the guys on the saws.

  • @copperheadmarine We don't worry so much about stumps on public land anymore, they get ripped and split and called "woody debris" now. The Forest Officers like that. Its getting hard to find ticketed chainsaw men, I prefer mechanical, less chance of injury...BTW that a-hole supervisor is me, (inside joke '-)

  • still snowing up there or is this an old vid?

  • @goshenx132 It is from the begining of April

  • @copperheadmarine up here in canada they want you to be certified to run one now its a stupid day corse a guy comes out and tells you to make sure you have good footing before you start your cut and dont use the top of the bar to cut just bullshit common sence stuff i figure if you cant figure tha out on your own you shouldent touch a saw

  • @ 1:50 the hoe chucker could have limbed that tree on his way out way to help the guys doing the hard work asshole

  • @gangesexcavating OK..Do tell what it takes to be "CERTIFIED"?

  • @copperheadmarine certified chainsaw operators are mandatory now here.

  • @CDNcatskinner Well, I'm a chainsaw man" No ticket" don't even know what that is....I don't need an off switch on one when I am cutting...you don't stop until it runs out of fuel. Never been cut never even had a close call..Started limbing with a 14" saw when I was 8 years old...Would be child abuse now days! A saw is like an extension of my being...kind of like the excavator bucket is?

  • if that was in australia.. itd be normal..lol

(cept for the snow that is)

  • ehhh why you have to remind me about snow.....

  • Bwahaha......fine looking weather.......walmart has gigantic marshmallows, would be good to roast over that fire .....LOL
