Actually google uses a patented system called PageRank for internet search. It is likely that many software engineers can recreate it. The only thing protecting google search monopoly is its government approved patent.

We need to end the patent laws that protect these monopolies. If someone can reverse engineer the algorithms that make up google and microsoft's software, we can create better products that don't invade our privacy and collude with the government. That is the only way to break up these monopolies and allow for anonymity on the web.

Our founders did a great job when they drafted the Constitution but the one thing that is really costing us right now is the "general welfare"that they inserted.The government can basically use this and say it covers everything.Public schools,SSI,Medicare,Medicaid,­transportation,health care.Little by little they will include anything they want because of two words.
