The bible does not have contradictions as to who went to the empty tomb the Gospels just mention different women in the party but not all who were there. Silence doesn't make a contradiction.
Also The ascension of Jesus there is no place in the Bible that says Jesus went Easter night and it was more like 40 days after Easter.
The Bible is the inspired word of God. By denying it's divine inspiration, you are demoting it to a storybook. Your Jesus can't take away your sins because you do not believe he is Lord.
You are talking lies in a slick way . I've checked your statements and there is no contradiction in the Bible other than copyist errors. The New testament is historically accurate, but was not written to be a history book. It was written to tell people about Jesus the Christ, God who became man, who is the Savior of the World.
In ancient Israel , Joseph's Father-in-Law would be considered his father also. thus, in Luke 3 the family line of Mary is recorded.
Should be noted that McDowell's "Evidence" book being referenced here is unique as a Christian apologetic. How so? It consists of the notes McDowell compiled on Christianity while he was in graduate study...the notes that convinced him Christianity was true...the notes he was taking for a paper meant to DISPROVE Christianity. That is a powerful argument for the integrity of the work. Doesn't mean he is right. But does lend a certain objectivity to McDowell that this guy doesn't have.
@chuytony7 So you don't think your being arrogant by saying that what you believe is true, and if you don't believe it you are wrong? There is no evidence for Christian claims, and I doubt there ever will be. Is there evidence for a "god" or an intelligence to the universe? Maybe but certainly nothing to do with Christianity or any other religion.
you're just desperately trying to discredit the core of McDowell's teachings, which is faith in Jesuschrist.
you could openly say that you're comfortable with Jesuschrist being your Creator because you're arrogant inside and you think you don't need a savior.
so don't waste your time explaining why you think Josh is wrong, when you can honestly admit that you have decided not to trust the God of the bible no matter what, even if one day modern "science" finds there is actually a God.
I've been reading "New Evidence that Demands a Verdict" (I don't know whether that is the same as, an earlier, or a later book than what you are commenting on) and it doesn't really sound at all like what you are describing. Without the book in front of me right now, it is hard to give exact reference, but I'm pretty sure McDowell highlights archeological finds that confirm biblical details (particularly in Luke) that make reference to Ceasar Augustus and Quirinius.
Why don't You. Get your own Path instead used Josh Mcdowell as a Point or please start talking about the Muslems.

Does "Antigone" purport itself to be history? The writings of Luke do.
