Ahhhh, when pro cyclists rode with heart and ATTACKED on the mountain stages! I saw and recorded this back in 1988. I've also ridden up and down Alpe d'Huez twice during the Tour. HIGHLY recommend it to any cycling fan! The day before is INCREDIBLE!

Wow. I remember this from back in the day. Hampsten cracked so badly, I felt sorry fir him. And Bauer passing him must have been demoralizing fir him. But he did live to fight another day.

@dachicagoan are you serious! How can he be anymore motivated! If anything it is off putting, it breaks your concentration! You don"t need some fat prick shouting at you when your on your limit! Hampsten is a legend for Gavia pass in the Giro 88, same year as this...
