This is all great but what about mentioning what makes all the money for the island. It's a fantastic place to party. Large bars everywhere with good bands. Get drunk and have fun. Nothing wrong with that so why hide it. That is why it's so popular.

@truthfulislander -I've never been to PIB but plan to visit soon- Alot of videos I've seen are older people driving golf carts and walking around town at the shops. It looks appealing with nice places to visit- Pretty water , dock area and parks. I've noticed your comments are very negative about PIB. If you hate it so much, move. Life is too short to be so negative and miserable. Only you can change your situation to make you happy in life. Complaining resolves nothing.

Too bad the monument was closed all last summer, and will still be closed into 2008 due to the granite falling off. Its a great place but theres more behind the scenes people dont see. I lived there for a summer...
