  • this rite is for the one who lives austerely , ie. no sex or if one feel that its sexual energy overflows. this practice is for moving the sexual energies up to use it for other purposes.

    - leaning forward: exhale

    - put the hands on sciatic, pushing your shoulders up (stomach in, breast out): you keep it as long as you can

    - inhale (stomach still squeezed)

    - exhale (let stomach out)

    max. 2 repetition is adviced

  • the 6th rite you should do only when you Stop any Sex !!!

  • does any1 know if i want to be celibate for a few years, but not forever, then can i practice it? or does it permanently turn the generative flow upwards, so that i won't be able to have sex in the future, or have other difficulties?

  • Hmm...we don't practice this one unless we know what we are getting ourselves into, that is, there is a time and place for the 6th rite and when you're ready for it, your teacher will usually tell you. *wink-wink* >;o)

  • Does it really transmute the sexual energy?

how does it work? i mean does one get "excited" the next day and do the same thing?

    tnx in advance.

  • @lightconstruct

You are correct. Many people consider it the 6th rite. I was unaware and have only been taught the 5. Not to say that my teacher was all knowing but I have a decent amount of faith in her knowledge. God bless!

  • @ThirdEyeLight: .. and i'M still not out of the concerns... So if you say that you can accept that Tibetans can practice it, then why should we give those highly valuable CREDITs to Muslims? You know what, at this very moment i give all my daily credits to Muslims. I hope they are better now.

And now with maxi respect i ask you to please tell me if this is not the 6th rite of tibetan yoga then what is that?

By the way i'm happy that you like music, checked your favourites.

    All the best.

  • @ThirdEyeLight: well, so we can agree that not Muslims are the only group of people who can do this or similar practices. As you can see i'm not the only one who call it the 6th rite. A so called Colonel Bradford brought this practice to Europe in 30's. From Tibet. Maybe there were some bored tibetan monks with a sprinkle sense of humour and tricked the old goose. Maybe not. Honestly, I wasn't there.

Anyway, what makes me agitate you is as you agitate me with this CREDIT give away. :)

  • @ThirdEyeLight : i'm not an adept. 1. It is documented and came from Tibet. 2. Look around the web, nobody calls it "Muslim posture" or whatever. 3. It is easily possible that similar things arise in different cultures and times, so like in Tibet and in anywhere you call Muslim influenced. Try to live with it.
