As an independent agent, your title will be "Transportation Broker".
You will provide freight transportation solutions to small, medium, and large businesses. Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
•Developing and maintaining strong relationships with current and prospective clients
•Cultivating new business
•Rating loads for current and prospective clients
•Arranging for freight transportation using the services of properly authorized carriers
•Preparing bills of lading and other necessary paperwork on all freight moved
•Reviewing credit limits and terms extended to clients
•Assisting in the investigation and reporting of claims
•Resolving client conflicts
