forgive me, but this was just bad. perhaps this is a form of theatre i have not encountered before, but in my opinion it did no justice whatsoever to the scene. the lead player lacked the passion required to incite hamlets soliloquy later in the act over the grief of hecuba, and the woman off to the side beating the sticks together just threw the scene way off. overall i would say it was a bad choice by the director to interpret the scene this way.
