Tim Arnold in Las Vegas, Nevada owns (at least at the time of this taping) the world largest private pinball collection. Following the close of the Pinball Fantasies 1998 show, I assisted Tim and friends in transporting the games he took to PF98 back to his warehouse.

This is a quick walkthru of his collection.

You'll see games in various states of repair, but note that nearly all of the games that are set up (that is, on 4 legs) are working and totally playable. So while this mid-day warehouse tour may be less than impressive, it's not really a fair judgement of the state of his collection overall. Prior to any public events, Tim removes the protective sheets and cardboard over each game and gives each machine a good thorough dusting. On the public game nights that Tim hosted (usually charging a small cover charge which he donated to the Salvation Army or other charity) there were easily over a hundred games switched on and ready to play.

You will also see hundreds of games warehoused here that are not set up. Again, the majority of these games are "complete" in that they have matching bodies and heads, but they are not shopped and set up because they are duplicates of a game already set up elsewhere in the warehouse (only 1 version of each game was usually set up for space considerations).

Today, portions of Tim's collection can be seen at the "Pinball Hall of Fame": http://www.pinballmuseum.org

  • i looked at your channel and you like both pinball and Barnes and Barnes! you are too awesome.

  • Wow!!!

    Just wow!!!

    Any for sale ?

    Cheers.

  • A huge collection. The "Shed" was used to house "Fun Night" which proceeds went to the Salvation Army. Around Jan 2011 the PHoF donated a HUGE check for 103,000 to the local Salvation Army. This money is used to help people getting themselves integrated back into society after drug and other issues in their lives. Worthy beyond belief! Thank you Tim and Charlotte, and all the volunteers over the years to make this a reality!

  • Can I stay in the warehouse and work on the machines?

First one I saw was the Goin' Nuts that never got produced but only made it as a proto-type.

    Very nice collection! :)

  • Thanks for posting this. It's awesome !

By the way, what is the name of the song ? Is it Roy Ayers or something like that ?

  • @barry0676 I hear ya... It's like a silent graveyard. Once they're gone and faded, its like they never existed.
