Looks weird with one tenor twirling and the other not. There's a youth band in NY that is nowhere near as good as this.

BD's only been playing 6 months?! Jeeeezo he's a good player at the moment.... given time, he is going to be a fantastic Bass Drummer :-)

Our BD's been playing about 6 months, we're extremely happy with the level of skill he's gotten to in such a short time and leave it up to the instructors to worry about competition grading issues; so far we haven't had a comment about it, but expect we might in Scotland next year or at a higher grade. I love to watch him play. :)

RE: the bass drummer you haven't seen anything yet, check out the drummers here in New England! And We need more Jr. Pipe bands.

well the higher grade u get the more picky about drill and dress they become, so just keep an open mind about in the future
