get your facts straight that isnt a male orca but a female named lolita and her living conditions are bad she should be free instead of that illegal tank

Poor Lolita :( She should at least be sent to Seaworld where they actually take care of their whales and she wouldn't be alone. Thats what the Vancouver Aquarium did with Bjossa after her mate died so she could be with her own kind.

@mandingo11bravo they do take very good care of her which is great! but in regards to sea worlds whales they live much longer than 12 years old in fact most of there whales are way over 12 with the exception of the calves

@seahawks2043 i rally have to agree i think its fine to have animals in captivity so long as they get what they deserve and need and i really think lolita deserves a way bigger tanks and maybe a friend

we can say what we want about this tank being small but,unlike Seaworld whos whales average only 12 yrs this whale is over 40 yrs old she is the oldest in captivity so it seems as if they take very good care of her.

Why? What is our fascination with putting the world's most amazing predator into a concrete tank and making it do circus tricks for dead fish. Shame on you for supporting the aquarium. As regards the tank size...what tank is ever big enough? Marine mammals belong in the wild.

They are happy- fed well, and treated with much love, affection. Read the studies-These mammals consider this the Ritz Carlton of living. They are not being hunted-dont have to kill other mammals to eat- plus they make lots of children smile and become aware that treating marine life with respect is very important. Its a win/win all around!
