I have a glass desk, but with a solid wood shelf over it. can this be rigged to hang down from the shelf instead of stand on the desk itself ?

Review was spot on. I already loved Ergotron equipment, but this was what I needed to sell me on the LX Stacking. And you had the one piece of info I couldn't find anywhere else - how the mounting plate met the VESA FDMI MIS-D 100/75 standards.
