Sky Burial at Langmusi

It's hard to believe that we have actually witnessed the whole Tibetan sky burial in Langmusi. The most extreme experience I had in this JuiZhaiGou 2011 trip. After more than 2 weeks, I still find it very hard to digest and comprehend. It was an unbelievable experience watching these big birds fighting over every piece of flesh, with the loud whistling and squeaking voices they made.

no it's not, when a body is buried it still rots away going to waste. This practice, brutal, follows the buddist ways of thought. Once we die our bodies are just an empty vessel that returns back to the earth, eaten or buried we all end up returning to the earth
