Twitchy steering, I think ill stick to my HPI nitro car and electric, i know these cars arent meant for hobby racing, but seriously how many feet per second, like 2 rofl.

You should change the connectors and power it with a 3s lipo. I bet you'd hit at least 10 mph then! The stock battery is probably what's slowing you down...
This car looks too good to just put on the shelf! Or maybe, that's what you should do with this car? I dunno...
