HU JUN DI (Hu Jundi) was born in the Jilin province in Northern China in 1962. His work is full of dense Chinese colors, the lush atmosphere and Sichuans warm moisture is floating in the paintings. His brilliance is in the harmonious blend of traditional Chinese brush with the unmatched depth of oils, melting the eastern and western cultures and techniques together with complete integrity. He does not use models. He paints the character in his mind, catching a moment.
