Macs are not necessarily more expensive than PCs. The advantage an PC gives you is more freedom to choose what you want ( and thus cut down on things you don't want ). A Mac is an all in one package with much less to deal with.

I personally prefer a mac. What do you prefer? I don't know, but always choose the one YOU like. I also have installed win XP, because I do not like the mouse acceleration curve on OS X. Mouse acceleration sucks for gaming.

@02500l I've said it once, and I'll say it again. It depends on the technical specifications of your computer. A quad-core i7 processor for example is always gonna perform the same, Mac or PC's alike.
