8th District "Bon Voyage" to redistricted community leaders

On Wednesday, August 10, 2011 Long Beach 8th District Councilwomen Rae Gabelich hosted a transitional Bon Voyage party and awards ceremony for 18 business and community activists from the South of Bixby Los Cerritos neighborhood that was redistricted into the 7th District. Gabelich told the gathering that the City Attorney's office has said the redistricting change would be effective as of September 6, 2011. Gabelich honored each of the 18 describing their contributions and awarded them each with a certificate of recognition.
