Part 1 of 2. Classic Game Room reviews FRONT MISSION 4 for the Playstation 2 PS2 video game console. This Front Mission 4 review shows gameplay from FM4 by Square Enix. It is a turn based strategy game where you command an army of giant Mechwarrior like robots in combat against the forces of evil. Similar in scope and style to the popular Final Fantasy Tactics series, Front Mission 4 comes alive with intense, strategy based gameplay that requires players to think, plan ahead and use complicated attack and linking plans to eliminate their enemy Wanzers, tanks and helicopters. If you like Final Fantasy Tactics then odds are you will enjoy FM4. If you enjoyed Front Mission 3 on the PSone you'll definitely like this game although CGRHD found the plot with the Zaftrans and Venezuelan freedom fighters to be a bit lacking. Seriously... the thieves stealing a box of gold?? Come on. But giant robots with machine guns, shotguns, missiles, rockets, EMP pulse backpacks and brass knuckles are always a good thing. Front Mission 4 is a cheap and easy game to find for the PS2 these days and well worth a look if you like strategy based video games. Classic Game Room reviews new and retro video games. Sucka! You may learn a few tips and tricks from the footage in this review to improve your gaming in Front Mission 4. Squaresoft! If you like Tranzor Z, Mech Warrior or Giant Robo you should check this out!

  • can you change their color. they all look the same

  • @MrUdeHikaru i think you are overestimating the amount of thinking. there are tactics but if i could beat FM3 as a kid with just equiping cool shit, then im sure i can beat this game with the same amount of thinking. the fun factor is more important than overthinking a strategy.

  • Ugh, who's behind the art design with this game? It's so monochromatic and ugly.

  • @Baoudor i agree, i love FM4 better than FM evolves, FM4 got strategy style and have nice cut scenes. hope the incoming FM game is strategy game, it use our mind to think a nice tactic to win, i can control 1 team robot rather than 1 person game play that have no real tactic n strategy, just brutal force can win all with unlimited killing power can very easy kill all enemy and boss.. FM evolves too easy, my mind become so numb playing it..

  • The three lazy stooges rocks!

  • What a GAY music in the beginning....

  • Wow, this game is extremely grey.

  • overall, I have to say this game's style is better. everything besides the artwork... well, I mean you said it yourself, 5 is like a copy of 4 in terms of the menu styles, how you set up the mechs... Honestly, FM evolved is like a rip off of Armored Core.. so.. whatever. I think I'll always love FM4 ^^ ten times better than 5's mechs... the mechs in 5 ...they squirm >< it looks creepy. At least here in 4 the mechs look the same and act the same, in cutscenes as in battle. THAT matters.

  • i really really like this game but the problem is its very short...

  • @kuglefang chaeffer + renges = ryogo haha.
