I think that was a girl, just short haircut due to the Spartan program. And it's just a thought, I'm sure Bungie doesn't mind bending the storyline of the books to juicy up the plot. Just Maybe...

is it a prequel? cause at the end of halo 3 after the credits you see chief in his crio tube but the ship hes in is approaching a big dark planet that looks exactly like reach in the first trailer compare the 2 videos and its the same planet

Um...this is in the past...John pretty much is the last one, save a few that you meet later on, and nearly everyone on Reach dies. OH! *SPOILER*

No new info on the beta that I know of. I just know that if you have ODST you will be able to get into the beta whenever it shows up.

Totally agree, man. Those graphics are amazing to the point where I actually thought they were CG graphics. I've been told that it is all in engine so the final graphics should be pretty much the same as those. A little less because they will be gameplay, but a little better because they still have nearly a year to work on the game.
