Hello, I see that you mentioned if you download iOS 5 Beta 7 that the F2 and F3 keys work. Can you tell me how you downloaded this? Somewhere it said to go to settings, software update and that it would do it automatically, but I'm not finding that. Thanks!

@barclaysd Dear friend... I have been facing the same problem as many ipad owners that have bought the new (b series wireless keyboard). Function keys not working etc. I have just installed iOS 5 BETA 7 and i glad to tell you that the keyboard works smoothly. Most keys are functional including the play rewind fast forward keys, brightness control, volume control and right and left arrows. Only the up and down arrows are not working as far as i have tested them with safari!

I have a question. A lot of people have been having a problem with the f keys not working with iOS 4 using Apple's new Lion/B model keyboards (see eg Apple discussion boards). Things like brightness controls do not work. I can see you have the previous model (f4 key is different); still, since you have iOS 5, if you can find some way to hook up the new keyboard to see if the issue resolved I, and many others, would be grateful for knowing if it iz fixed.

@TGameNTech Thanks so much, it is so useful to be able to contact you about these issues. You are awesome! I am a massive fan of your reviews. Thanks so much all the way from England!
Just tested the brightness and volume controls yesterday. They seem to work perfectly fine with the iPad 2 running iOS 5 final release.

@TGameNTech Do you know if the iPad wireless keyboard will update with the proper iOS 5, for instance the volume keys working or brightness??? Thanks for everything. I think your reviews are fantastic and offer a real in site to the apple products available today and how they are able to inter gate with the software currently available. Cheers1

@barclaysd Don't know about the final release, since it won't be out for awhile, but I just tested it on iOS 5 Beta 3 and both volume and brightness control works. Hopefully they won't change anything in the system and the keybaord will continue to work flawlessly!

@barclaysd can you please tell me which keyboard you are using with ios 5 beta? are you using the A or B model? because the issue with the function keys not working appears only on version B (the latest one). I m really frustrated because I have recently bought one of them and none of theys keys work....

@spyrkom I'm pretty sure I have the A model. Is there a way to double check? Because the function buttons do work with the keyboard I have. Hopefully some of these issues will be resolved in the public release of iOS 5 on the 14th
