@thedancingfork - That was probably a rhetorical question, but to answer that, they already have a list of topics and limited time, so the conversation is directed and is done so in a hurry. The interviwer is expected to be the professional at interesting conversation (can't be said for all, hence this interview) to attract viewers, because viewers are money. Remember, the lack of passion for most interviewers means exactly that; they don't give a shit about the music or talent.

@lboygrace I have to gently challenge your statement; carson is imply far to simple to interview anyone ... Take the very first 'tattoo' question. What an ocean of possibilities it was; to explore, to elaborate, to examine this brilliant Ferdinand metaphor. And what did we get instead? 'Awesome'. I have nothing against imbeciles like daly, as long as they stay away from guns, politics, TV, hospital, restaurant, prison services and cash registers.
