Ok... I beg to differ...a Japanese McDonalds experience is waaaaaaaayyy different than a McDonald's experience in the states. How can you say "it's not much different"?! For one, the restaurant is super clean, the employees at least act like they enjoy their job and whoa... they BOW to you!! They also don't throw and slop they food on the tray... it's arranged neatly and carefully. Um... when is the last time you saw a grand piano in the middle of a McD's in let's say... South Carolina? Lol...

When you notice that it's ingrained in Japanese mentality to bow to everyone, you realize it's a requirement not because their trying to be polite.

Nowadays they don't even really bow. The last time I was there it was just like being at a regular American McDonalds.

In a way you can say there's differences, but many McDonalds have different facades but in general there's a small difference between McDonalds here and there.

I don't know, but the McDonalds I go to doesn't slop my food on my tray.

Yeah, it sucks because the smell usually moves into the non-smoking section. Sometimes you have to walk through the smoking section to get to the non-smoking section.

@thememenator Really, don't sterotype perople that work in fast food places. They work very hard and get absolutely no respect. What they do is just as important as what anyone else does. This comes from someone that spent two days doing it and just couldn't hack it.
