Simulation of a Multi-Modal Junction

This is an animation of a VISSIM simulation which demonstrates in a very condensed way VISSIM's ability to simulate non-signalized intersections between different modes of traffic. The trams and the pedestrians walking in parallel are modeled to have priority at the conflict areas, while the vehicles and those pedestrians walking in parallel with the vehicles have to give way. Note how this general rule can be suspended in certain conditions (e.g. congestion).
