I am not a huge Amway superpower... I am a simple IBO with not much growth. Here's my deal. AMWAY costs $50.00 a year to maintain. I earn an 18 % discount on my Sprint bill through AMWAY (about 240.00/ yr). That's a 190.00 profit on one deal... I'll keep extending thank you.

Penn and Teller did an episode (5th) on MLM companies in Season 8 of their ShowTime series, Bullsh*t!. For those who haven't seen it, here's the gist: if you join an MLM company, you have a 99.6% chance of losing money and never turning a profit. These companies can be recognized by requiring you to recruit other people into the organization; the products are simply a smoke screen. Exactly how much money you'll lose depends on how gullible you are. For example, train529 will lose everything.

Well, I can tell you that $166 a month is not enough money for me to bother taking the time earning it. That's a day's pay, for a month's part time effort? Not worth it, at all. Especially since for most people, it's going to be substantially less than the average.
