I may have a theorie, its really from my mind so no hate pls, I think that the plates move because of our galaxie, let me explain, our galaxie is in constent movement, its going mile miles per hour, our soler system is following it, its almost like our galaxie is sort of a force field or a box, that keeps our soler system in it, but in the glaxie and the solar system, ou planet moves, thay rotate on them selfs, wich explains night and day, i think that the rotation and speed of our glaxie makes

pls can anyone answer me? how come transverse wave causes side to side movement instead of up and down movement? and longitudinal wave causing up and down instead of back and forth??

@MegaAnwar82 Oh!! really?!! Is that what you read from the books or from your elementary teacher?!!! I am an engineer and NO ONE IN THIS WORLD COULD REALLY EXPLAIN THE MOVEMENT OF THE PLATES. ALL WHAT THEY SAID IS JUST A THEORY!!! THATS THE REASON WHY NO ONE CAN PREDICT AN EARTHQUAKE!

The basis of their assertions are on falsehoods. Newsflash people "The Earth" is not a sentient being, it's a lump of rock. If we want to live on it we have to abide by reality. We DO have to take care of the Earth, not for it's sake but for the sake of our continued survival without assistance on the Earth's surface. Global warming is real, man-made global warming is a myth.
