Great job! Did you have problems with the EPS (styrofoam) when you applied polyester bondo to it? How did you protect it from melting?

It would have been good if you could've borrowed a video camera to share you skills in motion whilst actually doing the various stages. I find it easier to cut the fibreglass with a Stanley knife while the job is just still pliable in the mould. But good on you for posting this. Well done.

this is a great job man. i needed custom flares for my bmw e28, but the ones that are out there wont fit nice. after watching your video i have an idea of how to make it now. thank you for the idea. great video.
Yes the styrofoam will melt if you bondo straight over it, unfortunately I did have that problem on the front guards because I didn't have enough depth with the expanding foam. The expanding foam will not be affected by bondo. You can get foam from craft stores that won't melt or just build up layers of expanding foam
