British Business Secretary Vince Cable was in Detroit on Monday, June 12, 2011 to meet with leaders in the US auto industry. Dr. Cable met with senior executives at Ford and GM to encourage their continued investment in the UK and urge both to increase their research and production of low carbon technology in the UK. While in Detroit Dr. Cable also met with senior management at Ricardo, a British-owned company in the Detroit area.
