  • really helpful video.....but I was just wondering do you have to like jump when youre going to bring it to your shoulders idk if you understand?

  • @realmadrid4evercr7 The jump is a natural occurrence. It happens because of the Ground Reaction Forces (GRF) are building during the ascension of the bar. They often teach you to jump with weights while teaching Power Cleans or Power Snatches which is not right, but not entirely wrong. In Olympic Weightlifting competition you still have to get under the weight, so excessive elevation will distort bar velocity curve and with maximum 100% loads you will not be able to get under the bar effectively

  • Form is great

  • Wrong form, "teacher." You start at lower knee to get more of a shrug, drop under it, squat it up to about chest height, then rest at chest height for half a second, get balanced, then twist your wrists in a snapping form and bring it down slowly. You're basically reverse curling it then going down. Power clean is a lower body workout. When you show a tutorial, make sure you do it right.
