  • You play with fire you get burned, when you play with Hitchens you get your testicals pulled out through your ear.

  • OMG! Did D. Wilson preface with saying he wasn't intrested in reason when it comes to religion? Well, what the hell is the point of debating someone if reason doesn't come into play. . I just listened, again. He did pretty much says he is not intrested in reasoning. What a friggin maroon (in my bugs bunny voice).!!!

  • @Mthooz faith can be based on evidence. Do you have faith in your wife? Is that based on evidence?

  • @Mthooz Science bless you.

  • @metanosis You seem to enjoy using reason to argue for a position that which you have no positive evidence to support (faith). You seem to think these questions are matters to do with whether a view is rich or "impoverished" (wishful thinking). Why parade your ignorance like that?

It's actually psychologically healthy to admit ignorance. Science may find those questions challenging, but religious dogmatism and pseudo-analytic gibberish sure as shit wont get us any closer to reality.

  • @Mthooz Sure, if that's where the science points, "super"natural is just a term, for a reality that can't be bottled in a test tube, wouldn't reality be quite impoverished if it could be contained in a test tube, well, in fact string theory posits many more than the four dimensions constraining mere empirical investigations, and of course, it's doubtful science will ever answer many of the most meaningful questions, nature of consciousness, origin of life, etc.....

  • @SuperAhmed1337 I'm sorry, I'm 1. not sure what you're trying to say, 2. not sure why this was posted to me.

  • @TheDgsfk I can only be watching this video to post scripture or strengthen my faith? I can't be watching it as an intelligent dialogue between two heavyweight intellectuals? You probably claim to be incredibly open-minded, yet you can't give even a single believer the benefit of the doubt as to any kind of intellectual curiosity. The position of faith isn't the closed-minded one. Yours is.

  • Actual debate starts at 1:55

  • @deuteightthree Look, the prerequisite to being atheist merely requires the lack of a belief in god(s). The prerequisite of being christian, however, requires different standards by your very own book's definition. However, in my experience, these standards don't hold true for any of you.

  • @TheDgsfk I'm glad the atheists I know are more mannered than you and that you do not represent them.

  • Rest in peace Hitchens, the world was made slightly better for your being here.
