Riding a GOOD bike 40 miles is not hard... I ride my cross country tourning bike loaded with ~100 pounds for 80 miles... Yeah, it takes over 9 hours and I sleep good... But a light road bike.. HA, you need a comfortable sadle, a bike that fits and strong wheels.
My commute is 7 miles (short) or 10 miles scenic and I do it on my cross bike (Euro city bike converted to a touring bike) or one of my ohter bikes 5 days a week. And 20 or more miles going home. 6 years of car-free fun!

just get a 150 cc motorcycle and would be better gas still cheap and way faster

Wow it is actually quite nice, except that this is probably the distance in one page.

looks like he might ride 84 miles a year, but not in the same day.

he cant even hold his line, no helmet, white high tops. i'd bet a dollar he's never done both ends of that commute

he needs to jack that seat up and put a lil air in his tires and he would do it in 2 hours not 3
he should jack up that seat a bit and get clips!
