Melanie Wilson is a performer, writer and sound artist and is currently a Battersea Art Centre Supported Artist. every minute, always is a performance via headphones for two people that takes place in a cinema. Seated amongst other couples, the participant is guided by the voice of the narrator into a rich and sonically transporting world of cinematic perspective. Underscoring this journey for each participant, is a gradual and electrifying encompassing of their relationship to each other and to the other couples, as the worlds of cinema and theatre collide. A moving, poetic work, it demonstrates the best in interactive theatre. Whereas interactive audio work can sometimes appeal to a younger, gaming generation, this will appeal to audiences of all ages and is more emotive than the usual cerebral pieces created in this genre.
