This is a sample of double feed malfunctions I experienced through out the day training with my Robinson Arms XCR chambered in 7.62x39.

  • See, people said that this should replace the M16s in the military. I want to show them all this video and then see what they think. What was the problem with it?

  • @SteezySteez2011 Out of spec gas port. Some bad mags

  • @pwenzlik Were most of your issues the magazines then? Or were there actually issues with the weapon itself? I have been trying to do research on what kind of assault rifle I want to get and I want to get something chambered in 7.62x39 and was looking at the XCR over an AK but if have not been able to get great feed back on anything so far.

  • @Refusearefuckingdead The XCR came with a bunch of problems and I had to send it back to Robinson Arms about 3-4 times over a 5 month period when I first got the weapon to get it fixed. I had to diagnose the problems too, they couldn't figure it out themselves. Out of spec barrel gas port for example.

I would get a good AK and skip the XCR if you are looking for a reliable weapon. The XCR is fun but I, personally, wouldn't rely on it. On top of it, Robinson Arms customer support is very bad!

  • @pwenzik Are the people at Robinson Arms really difficult to deal with? Which magazines worked with the gun?

  • @KJOSCOT They had an excellent employee that finally helped my out, It took me 5 months to get my rifle in working condition to where I could trust it. The third generation C-Products magazines are working for me now. If you get an XCR pray that it's is in spec and working perfectly out of the box otherwise expect some problems with their customer service. I'm happy with my rifle now that it work perfectly.

  • @pwenzlik if you are still looking they have fixed a lot of the issues with the gun since it originally came out.

  • @pwenzlik Id rather go for the LWRC M6A2 SRT,HK416 or maybe the ACR

  • Just get an SKS or AK...

  • Bill13r@aol.com

I have a olympic 7.62 x 39 upper on my M&P lower. I have similar issues with about

5 per 100 failing to Feed. But ONLY with some HP I purchased. I have had nearly ZERO with FMJ. both were russian ammo. Hope it improves with other ammo for you.

  • @pwenzlik well there are always a gun that goes out of the factory with a problem but the gun is very reliable if u get one that wasnt messed up in the factory

  • wow that blows,,,,nothing more irritating

  • As one that conducted the high temp testing for the 1st & 2nd generation C Product LLC Mags. I have fired over 3,500 plus rounds in testing. I found that the major problem was Military Classic ammo, Black Box Wolf ammo better, but Winchester 7.62x39 ammo NEVER FAILED ME!

See the video I shot after the Mags & ammo were allowed to sit in direct sunlight where the temps were above 115°F for over 30 minutes! It was the MC that caused my problems in the video from too light a powder charge.

  • C-Products magazines are the best ive seen for 7.62x39mm AR15 type

to bad they dont sell the Robinson Armament M96 in 7.62x39mm that uses AK mags

  • i'd consider one of these things if it used standard ak mags.

  • I seem to recall one of the guys who runs a ton of high-volume courses year-round say that they have seen XCR's with ejectors that broke, since it is a fixed ejector system.

Also, for my friends that have 7.62x39 Colt Sporters, the CPRoducts 30rd mags needed increased power springs to function reliably.

I'll stick to my quality built AR's with MPI Bolts, good barrels with Chrome Lining or Melonite, balanced gas systems, and selected parts. They run reliably when put together right.
