i never heard this song before a week ago. and to know that she passed away recently makes listening to it that much more poignant. i wish you could turn on 'american idol' and hear a sound this pure and sweet come from somebody. i guess she would have to be a dowdy woman from northern england(no offense, of course).
man i never knew she died. and a year ago.......................i wish i could say thax 4 the news but this is just sad, but we all check out in this life......
Its so sad, that her life has so much misery in it, she was a great talent, and I wish her and the champ stuck together he really loved her, and I think his divorce with her was more of intimadation through the NOI then him really having a strong belif in religion, even though I dont question his unshakable faith, I wish he stayed with her. Its also so sad her carrer never really took off. She woulda been loved by many if she could reach out to ppl through her music.
Life was so good for me when this was played often on WJZZ in Detroit each time I hear this and think back tears come to my eyes

Beautiful. And if anyone could share "Deeper in my heart" by Sonji, you would be doing the music loving world a great service. RIP Sonji.
