NIGHTWISH Singer's 'Ever Dream' Audition Demo HD

NIGHTWISH frontwoman Anette Olzon has uploaded the demo recording that she sent to the band in November 2005 which led to her being hired to replace Tarja Turunen as the Finnish group's lead singer.

This is her version of the 2002 NIGHTWISH single "Ever Dream" (from 2002's "Century Child" album), can be streamed below.

Around 2,000 women applied for the vacant vocalist spot in NIGHTWISH and only 10 actually auditioned in front of the band. "

hey, if Nightwish wanted anotherTarja, they would have found someone like Tarja. But lets face it, she was a bitch. Anette has a pop-trained singing voice instead of classical so obviously she doesn't sound like an epic opera singer, but give her a break. She's still great

@E65Hawk All nightwish members have side projects, like Marco has Tarot. While Tarja wanted a solo career too she couldn 't have it. Anette released a solo album as soon as she got in the band.

By making public accusations about her personal life, husband etc, promoted the band. Tarja was in Nightwish since day one when the band had only 3 members. There 's so much drama surrounding the band, I suggest you read both sides there are also answers Marcello gave to fans about all these accusations.

well the douchebags flagging all the pro-anette comments must really be running out of stuff to say. Tarja is a bitch, that's why she got kicked out. Anette is not a bitch, and is simply happy to be there. Nightwish has never made music as good s now. They have never been as huge as now. Getting rid of Tarja made them a much better and more comfortable band. It was never a bad decision. If you don't believe me, then explain why their newest material is rated as their best yet?

@E65Hawk Glad to know that you know for a fact she is a bitch, do you live with her?Please read both sides, there are 2 letters, not only one. No one said they wanted a voice same as Tarja's. The problem with annete is that she is of key almost all the time.

I met her in a concert backstage (Tarja) she is really sweet and took her time with us.

It 's nice she has a solo career, she seems so happy on stage now.

Tarja, a bitch? ... well, between lots of Anette-fans, what do I expect? ...

She has a nice voice, good enough for Amaranth and such, but for singing the old songs of Nightwish, she isn't capable to do them. She simply shouldn't sing them. Stick to her own songs, which were actually written for HER voice and ... ability. *coughs* Her, performing Wishmaster on stage definately wasn't a good idea ...
