Seems I only do these reviews on cold mornings. Last time it was 38 degrees, this time it's 35! So I couldn't quite control the shaking. But I hope you get a good look at it. 1/8 scale is not very common and as much as you might think these kits would have rediculous detail like a Pocher kit, they don't. Only about 170 very large parts. A Pocher kit would have like 500 or more. But it's a good place to start if you want to go for rediculous aftermarket detail. Or if you just don't see good and need large parts. Kinda like large print. It does appear well molded as you can see. Good kit. Back in the 80's Monogram issued this one and about 5 others in this scale. '87 Camaro, '86 Corvette, '65 Corvette, '6? Jaguar XKE, Golden T, and some 1/12 scale. I have a catalog I could share. Wouldn't that be boring. lol.

  • WOW

I saw the same model for sale on eBay for $175!

I would not build a model like that because I am not worthy, however you are more than worthy, therefore you should build the model immediately!

    Peace

  • @GetYourModelOn Oh, that doesn't sound like this model Scott. Probably the original release for $175. If this one went for that, I'd just sell it!

And you too are worthy!! lol. Peace back at ya.

  • shit i had to come back to see this again i was half asleep when i seen this ..i have a few Qs how many cans you think it would use to paint that ? and would gas powered rc car rims and tires fit?? and last but not least where the heck can i get one of these ? lol

  • @ripgabby08 You'd be surprised. I painted my Trans Am with 1 can of Testors brown. That was.......oh........1988? Oh my. I'm gonna send you that video in your inbox and hopefully one other. But RC is usually 1/10 scale, although there are some 1/8.

  • nice kit theres one at my hobby store and a karmann ghia

  • @carbonfootprintmyass I'm pretty sure the Ghia is 1/16 scale. Never seen one of those this big.

  • I think is much better if you keep original the rims of the tires so you make an original Corvette. is just my opinion, I have an !/8 XKE Jaguar, I use only 2 cans of pain tho the whole body, burgandy color, I must post a video of this car on You Tube, i made this scale car 20 years ago, and treasure, regards from Monterrey Mexico. Luis

  • i have one but is not revell it is monogram it is from 1988, i bought for 80 euros in Lisboa and i start to make it

  • wow ! big ! ...I HAVE FERRARI F 40 1:8 BY RIVAROSSI.

  • i wanna build that (((: rust it up and wreck it ;)

great video but too bad the doors are attached.

  • wow...that looks awsome...

  • @JahPerformance Oh cool, you got the Camaro. I remember seeing all of these in K-Mart, every one of them on the shelves, isle end caps stacked to the ceiling. These were all out at the same time in the early 80's. Can you imagine that sight? It's quite a memory.

  • @pdrga Yea, I knew you'd remember the original. There's also a 70';s style body Vette in 1/8, mayb more like 79 or 80, harder to find.
