@geishathor These animals are not wild animals. They're bred and raised to be domestic pets, they are largely dependent on humans. They aren't going to be like wild counterparts who may be more self-sufficient and less trusting, but these are domestic pets. Clearly there are no cats or pythons or other threats to these two creatures here.

@nicollettePerfect as long as they are tamed, you simply pick them up and place them back in their cage. If you have two budgies, you can take them out at the same time, but just make sure if you have a dog/cat, that they are not in the same area when your bird is on the ground. :)

and a question: did you have your bird's wings clipped, or is it that comfortable around you?

@HellsSkulkers We clipped them ourselves. It doesn't hurt the bird, so it really doesn't bother him when we hold out a wing and clip the end piece. He's been tamed simply through handling and talking. :)
