@cutegumbygurl theres 3 different types of superchargers. Theres roots, twin-screw, and centrifugal. The noise youre refering to, comes from positive displacement blowers (roots & twin-screw) like Kenne Bell, Magnachargers, and Whipple. These make a lound whine sound like 03 cobras, gt500s, and your cobalt ss.

Scion Tcs use centrifugal type superchargers that kinda look like a turbo, but are belt driven. They dont make much noise and kinda sound like a faint whistle at idle. Hope this helps

i dont hate Tc's and im not really trying to sound mean.. but where was the supercharger whine ? An was he really putting the pedal to the floor in this video ? I just felt like he was not going anywhere that fast. Its ok though i have a cobalt ss sc and people hate on my car to..but with mine u can hear the whine clear as day...and they can move. im stage 3 with a 2.8 puelly full bolt ons suppourt mods cooling mods and a custom tune though..nice video either way
