Whether Cain's plan passes as is or not, at least he's thinking along the right lines. Our bloated and unfair tax code is an abomination. It punishes the productive and drives companies offshore. 999 is fair and simple and a good starting point for the discussion.
Frankly, I'd pay a little more in taxes to be rid of the 72,536 page tax code. I'm sure I'd easily make up the difference by not having to spend so many hours trying to decipher and comply with its regulations and doing my taxes.

It is very true that eliminating the payroll tax and the capital gains tax as part of the 999 plan will be a tremendous incentive for employers to create many new jobs. Our country's economy must consider a consumption tax, because our high income tax rates are destroying our economy. We must also have large cuts to government spending so that the private economy can once again flourish. Herman Cain will move our country in the right direction!
