Love behind-the-scenes videos and Christian is GREAT live with them! At first, I was taken aback by DM having a drummer vs. only keyboards/synthesizers but it WORKS LIVE and takes their music to a whole different level of great--it brings it forward. LOVE IT! thanks for the video! :)

He is a great drummer technically speaking. But for what Depeche Mode does, does not require a drummer with his capabilities. In fact, I would say he "overplays" in a lot of songs with no feel at all. I am drummer with 30 years of experience and I am sure that I am in the minority by saying this but I prefer Alan Wilder than this guy simply because Alan played the songs with feel and groove rather than trying to see how many 2 measure 16th double bass note fills he could put in. Just my opinion.

@Malin242: Yes he does! Christian Eigner is an amazing drummer, and DM sounds AMAZING with him LIVE. However, in a recording studio, I would prefer DM use Synthesizers instead of Drums. But on LIVE perfomances...He is definitely fit.
