Huge Forest Fire Cleveland TN 08-27-11

The woods off of Benton Pike in Bradley Co were on fire, and heading towards the houses on Benton Pike. The fire was huge, police said they suspect it will jump Benton pike and continue burning on the other side. Very scary, fire ash embers were falling all over and starting smaller fires from being carried by the wind.

My sister-in-law lives on benton pk and is worried to death. I saw the flames from 75.

@thalonelygirl I saw that one of the trailers next to the house in the video I took, had animals in it. And no one was home. A friend of the owners had driven up the road to go there and break a window in the home to let the pets out, but the police turned her around and told her she could not drive up to the trailer. I never saw her after that. I hope they got the animals out. The smoke and flames were huge, and the wind was not helping things either.

Thanks for posting video. My mother in law lives in Covenant hills and they were all evacuated. I hope people don't loose their homes. So sad.

@ronvette If it was a grey and blue trailer, that was hers. They wouldn't let her husband get her dog out. They have him now, though. And I meant to say you could see the smoke from 75, not flames.
