Hawkwind - Master Of The Universe Chronicle Of The Black Sword GIG

Ive got 3 DVD's landing soon.. ALL Hawkwind and a Tripple Box Set

They will be on here soon ALL of the Tracks LOL

This From WICKED -PEODOIA

The British space rock group Hawkwind have been active since 1969, but their earliest video release is Night Of The Hawk from their Earth Ritual Tour recorded at Ipswich on the 9th March 1984. Since then, there have been numerous video releases covering the evolution of the band; some are professional broadcast shoots, others commercial, and a few are amateur.

There have also been some live video shoots of the band during the 1970s, although none have seen a commercial release. These include an early 12 April 1970 The Roundhouse, London performance and a Hawklords performance at Brunel University, Uxbridge on 24 November 1978.

The Hawkestra event, a reunion featuring appearances from all past and present members on the 21 October 2000 at the Brixton Academy, was professionally filmed but disputes between band members would indicate any forthcoming release unlikel

  • hehehe YES!!! A band that speaks for us sci-fi geeks, it's so hard core even back in that time, fucking awesome! xD

  • @drakenette13 Awesome sounds eh :)

  • @Starfirephoenix1 Yes very much so, my bf just introduced me to them and I especially didn't know he was a sci-fi author. xD This song almost reminds me of either Elf or Dio-esque style of rock. I have heard of the elric series but didn't know anything about the author.

  • @drakenette13 Hi Drakenette .dont listen to much heavey rock at all bar Mptorhead (Lemmy was an original Hawkwind Band member) but he got kicked out for doing too much speed

So the Many bands and offshoots that from the original Hawkwind are diverse and much the same. Google Ozric Tentacles too ,they are less wordy buy wicked music lol seen them play with Hawkwind a couple of times now

There are a Gazillion Hawkwind tunes the best info I know is on StarFarers web page Dive in and Enjoy

  • Ever felt like you're the Master of the Universe?

  • @drakenette13 geek is fuckin gay. I AM NERD

  • @drakenette13 I saw these gigs a million times - was only 15/16. Lemmy came on for the encore of the London gigs, played "Silver Machine". Feckin' epic...

Motörhead was originally a Hawkwind b-side, so you're bang on. No Hawkwind, no Motorhead. He was their roadie, then one day someone shiver a bass at him and chucked him onstage.

  • OH MY GOD! this is brilliant!!

  • @Starfirephoenix1 I had no idea Lemmy was in them originally, that is freaking cool to know! Too bad he got kicked out but I am sure if he hadn't there wouldn't have been Motorhead! xD
