S- omg Nick, Im so sorry. I didnt notice you.
N- (looks at his shirt and tie that is all wet)
S- Im so stupid, here, Ill clean it up for you.
N- its fine.
S- god, this is the worst birthday ever.
N- Selena, chill, its just water.
S- yeah ,but
N- its water. It will dry.
S- ok. (hands him a paper towel and starts to dry off his tie with another paper towel)
N- thanks. Have you seen Demi by any chance? I cant find her.
S- no, I was looking for her.
N- thats weird. She usually doesnt go off without telling me.
S- its all my fault
N- what?
S- she overheard me talking to my friend Ashley. Well not talking, but I was complaining about Demi and saying things that I never say about people.
N- what did you say?
S- just that, she was a horrid, awful, emotionless, brat who thinks shes better than everyone and doesnt even have the decency to treat other people with respect and a few others things that I dont really remember.
N- why would you say those things?
S- I dont know, because I was mad that she treated me the way she did this afternoon and I was mad she wasnt at my party.
N- she heard everything you said?
S- I think so. I feel awful. I just want to apologize.
N- I cant believe you would say stuff like that about her. You dont even know her.
S- I know. Im sorry, ok?
N- where is she? I have to find her. Shes very sensitive and usually makes sure no one can see her showing emotion because showing emotion is a sign of weakness according to my dad.
S- I didnt know.
N- how could you? You didnt even give her time to open up. Im not even ready to tell you guys things. You know, if we wanted to get talked about and degraded we could have gone to any school in our area, we didnt expect it from you.
S- I know. I need to talk to her and apologize.
N- yes, you do. (goes to find Demi)
