  • nice man im having like lots of tuning problems :/

  • @TheMrmares Also could be air in your fuel line (small bubbles), or a leaky fuel tank.

  • @RB5566 hey ive got a sh.21 engine in my 1/8 buggy [acme warrior] would it be possible for me to put a sh.28 engine in without changing anything else for e.g clutch or mounts im not too sure

  • @acmewarrior I cannot say with absolute certainty as I do not know which shaft setup is on your buggy. However, I CAN tell you that 99% of the time, a .21 engine shares the exact same mounting and clutch as a .28 and visa versa. It will PROBABLY work, but just double check what kind of shaft is on your .21 and make sure you order the correct "shafted" motor (there are different types). Now, you should know, there's going to be a HUGE power difference. It might destroy your transmission. :(

  • hey i subscribed to u can u sub to me and nice vid!!

  • @poopdogsays Well said. The XTM .28 is actually a rebranded SH .28 and they are legendary motors. True that they sometimes suffer from manufacturing errors but all in all they'll take a lot of abuse. They don't produce as much power as a lot of the .28's nowadays but they're also made much better too, for the most part.

Only motor I would consider as "better" would be the Axial .32. That motor has so much compression, even after breaking it in, when you pull it, you think it's seized. :)

  • @ImOn20thstair I've had mine since 03 and it's still fires on the second pull.

If tuned properly they will last for a long time. I am well over 15 gallons and I think I've only replaced the glowplug twice, maybe three times.

If you can find one in good shape grab it up. Keep the rpm's low, these big motors don't like to rev as high as modern day motors like the Traxxas 2.5 and 3.3...

    G/L...

  • @RB5566 yes i have little bobbles, im quitting tuning this engine ima go back with my old .18 lol, btw ima record a vid of my .28 giving me some problems xD btw thanks for answering :)

  • @TheMrmares Most likely an airleak either around the carburetor or the pullstart. Look up "How to seal a nitro engine" and follow the instructions.
