This video demonstrates the simulation of cables or flexible pipes with the Virtual Robot Experimentation Platform (V-REP: http://www.v-rep.eu ). A robot is following a path with its welding torch and adds welding seams to a part. The cables are handled through inverse kinematics (endpoints constraint, "desire of straightness" constraint, and obstacle avoidance constraint). Cable handling doesn't require a single line of code. The robot CAD model in this scene is courtesy of ABB Robotics. ABB Robotics has however no link of any kind with V-REP or this simulation.
This program is truly amazing! i couldn't believe seriously what that program is capable of! It doesn't allow me to sleep throughout a weekend :D:D i like the examples :D its mind blowing, thank you guys for making such magnificent program!! Dreams came true!
