Maurice André and the orchestra play miraculous...

  • thank you very much for your comment. Rafitrompeta

  • The sound of the trumpet, played by Maurice André, remembers me of my husband, who passed away (nineteen years ago). He played the trumpet himself in the symphonical wind orchestra we spoke about. I will favorite it, as a wonderful remembrance.

  • Thank ypu very much my friend. My best wishes from Spain.

  • RIP Maurice Andre 1933-2012. The finest solo trumpeter. :(

  • Nun seid Ihr wohl gerochen/ An Eurer Feinde Schar,/ Denn Christus hat zerbrochen,/ Was Euch zuwider war./ Tod, Teufel, Sünd und Hölle/ Sind ganz und gar geschwächt;/ Bei Gott hat seine Stelle/ Das menschliche Geschlecht./ Now You are well avenged/ upon the horde of Your enemies,/ for Christ has shattered/ what was contrary to You./ Death, Devil, sin and Hell/ are weakened once and for all;/ with God is the place/ of the human race.
  • Sublime! Bach, Andre and Richter. There is nothing better!

  • ¡¡¡Maravilloso!!!

  • I am pleased to hear such joyous, transparent, and light-hearted performance by Richter in the 1960's. It's a shame really that he did not commit this kind of musicality to his choral conducting, choosing large choirs who cannot show the vocal details, rhythmic and melodic flexibility and word-painting that makes Bach such a joy to sing.

  • One of the best trompettists ever! This is really great.

  • Such beautiful music

  • Maurice Andre's trumpet transfigures this version.

  • DAS Bravourstück für Trompete. Maurice André liess sich das natürlich nicht entgehen. Ich finde übrigens nicht, das das zu schnell gespielt ist. Die Chorzeilen sind gerade im richtigen Tempo.

  • Awsome! Bach and Andres were made for each other. Shame they didnt have valved trumpets in Johannes day..
