This movie sucks ass, I don't care. First of, why does he fucking look like a pedophile and why is it in every scene, there is ominous movie playing? The only thing I like in this movie that Charlie is not American because in the book, he is not indeed, American. However, I perfer the first one because Gene Wilder is golden and I feel like it embodies the story of Charlie more. Plus, it is not creepy as fuck and is wonderfully strange in a GOOD WAY!

@Jock21000 I was as old as you when i saw this movie. Are you SURE that you thought he was a pedo? I was thinking he was some kind of clown, not a Chocolatier. Just asking, cause lots of Tweens/Teens make fun and make fake stories about their past viewed movies.

@Becca16luvsRhydian i know, but so much more accurate to the book :)

@jubbles23 Couldn't agree more. I have read the book and if you go by comparison 2005 movie was closer to the actual book. Does it make it a better movie? That is a question people have to ask themselves. I grew up with the Gene Wilder version so for me personally I like it a bit more. However I did not find the 2005 version to be a bad movie at all and I think it is safe to say that Roald Dahl the writer of the story would have liked 2005 version very much.
This movie actually scared me,with all the strangeness and children XD;
It's like being in a strange dream.
A very candy-filled,strange dream.
