This is what happened when an F-5 tornado tore through a town of 50,000 people. Most pictures I took myself, some taken from internet. The music belongs to the artist. I give the photographer and the musicians credit for these.
I grew up around this town pretty much my whole life. I went to elementary, middle school & Jr. High here. So many memories and that is exactly what they are now...just memories. My heart goes out to all of you that suffered through this. May God Bless you all.

14,382 views and someone really has to give my video a thumbs down. Really??? Thanks to all who have watched and posted nice comments about my video. I worked really hard to make some kind of dedication to the town that I called home for so long. God Bless you all.

Awesome documentation of places, names, etc. I really like this video. It's tough not to tear-up watching. I spent 3 weeks volunteering in Joplin. I made a video from my time there which focuses on the volunteers. Please check it out. You may like it.

Great picture. I took alot of these myself. Most of the ones (not all...like the before & after shots and the ones from the air of course) that have the location listed on it are mine. I was able to put the location because I knew where I was when I took the picture of course. I will say though, it was very hard (even knowing Joplin like the back of my hand) sometimes to figure out exactly where I was at. Again thanks for your picture. It has a special place in my slideshow.

OMG - I cried all the way through this - what a beautiful recollection of such devastation - through the efforts of individuals you helped me feel the love of a community - a community of one, a community of hundreds, thousands, indeed - the World. May we all thank the Supreme Power for helping you find the strength to create this memory - the memories of all who have been affected.

I too, have lost all of my history with Joplin. Every school I attended is now gone. The houses I grew up in are now all gone. All is left are the memories. My heart goes out to all those who lost a friend ( I lost 2 friends), lost a family member or lost a pet or their homes. Since this disaster, we have seen the true christianity of all come together to help bring Joplin some peace. Thank you to all who have volunteered, held fund raisers and continue to pray for us. God Bless You!

(continued from my other response)
If the forces of Nature are intentionally marshaled by the Almighty - as Mr. Robertson is famously pointing out - as a warning or punishment, then they were possibly summoned and brought down upon the good people of Joplin. One must ask "Why?' And if there was not intent by Himself in this event, how could anyone be sure there was intent in New Orleans or with ANY natural calamity? Attributing causation is very risky business.

Pocket, I have judged no one...with the possible exception of Mr. Robertson. As a non-believer, I find no intentional message nor divine wrath in either New Orleans or Joplin. The victims of both of these natural events deserve our compassion and help and prayers, if one is so inclined, for peace at this time AND material and assistance to get their lives back together. I believe you misread the undertone of my comment.
