BANGSAMORO STRUGGLE IN THE PHILIPPINES:

The Bangsamoro Muslims of Mindanao and its islands have fought the longest and bloodiest struggle in the entire history of mankind in this world which extends to about four hundred eighty seven (487) years up to this writing. First, the Bangsamoro Muslims fought, without let up, against the Spanish colonial power for 377 years from the year 1521 up to 1898. Second, they fought a bloody war against the Americans in 48 years from 1898 up to 1946. And third, they are still fighting against the Philippine neo- colonial power from 1946 up to the present.

I am a Catholic secessionist and believe in the Bangsamoro cause. All of us of non-Luzon descent (Moros, Visayans) were deceived by treacherous imperialist Manileños (starting from Aguinaldo with the help of the Americans). They deprive and demean us of our culture, languages, histories, territories, and privileges to the law.

It was true that your ancestors were never colonized by Spain. I admire your people for your greatness. We must fight our true history.

drop the fight, we all know independence will not happen. autonomy is the answer for we as Filipinos will never allow mindanao to secede. as you guys put it, magkaubusan na lang kesa mawalay ang mindanao. we can live together as one..we can show the world that it is possible. i still believe that peace will succeed in the end, kailangan lang natin magsumikap at magtulungan. there are many places in this country were muslims and christian alike live in harmony, so why not in mindanao?

When the Spanish came, the islands now known as 'the Philippines' was occupied by Moro and LUMAD peoples. The North was a 'quick victory'for the Spanish, while the South stood firm against the Spanish. This stand continued for more than 500 years - to include Americans. The South has not been conquered by anyone and still remains Moro. Moro's and LUMAD want peace on good terms to this day. Just respect people and have peace.
